Colorful Crowns is a seven-part series juxtaposing the traditional rainbow against the spectrum of the classic colors we use in our hair. I wanted this collection to evoke nostalgia, like memories of time spent at the beauty supply store, salon, or kitchen sink, as well as highlight the vast diversity of Black women and the empowerment of self-expression.
