About Black Daisy Art

Dating back to ancient Egypt, daisies have been around for thousands of years. What appears at first glance to be a single flower is actually a composite flower consisting of hundreds of tiny flowers packed together for the center; in lieu of petals, this flower cluster is surrounded by small, sunbeam-shaped flowers.

Inspired by the earth. Rooted in the culture.

I created Black Daisy Art Studios in 2024 to be a space dedicated to the celebration and upliftment of Black women. My art showcases the warmth and complexity of Black women of all shades and shapes across the diaspora, but most importantly, it provides a space for us to simply exist. My hope is that you both see yourself in my pieces and feel seen when you explore them.

That said, over the past few years, my work has evolved to explore the intersection between Black women and nature, featuring themes like balance, harmony, and joy. Like the daisy, these two elements seamlessly combine to transport you to magical landscapes and expand the idea of what and who Black women are.  

Daisies represent friendship, positivity, loyalty, and love, and I strive to infuse those concepts into everything I create. Thank you so much for visiting my site and viewing my work. Your support is very appreciated!
